Croatia Walking Tour in 4K - KUKLJICA Ugljan Island 2023

Another walk through the small and beautiful tourist-fishing village of Kukljica on the island of Ugljan, located in the Zadar County, which is part of northern Dalmatia. The landscape's beauty is dominated by dense pine forests, sandy and rocky beaches, and the sea in this area is inviting for swimming because it is crystal clear. The harbor, full of motorboats and yachts in the village of Kukljica, is perfectly protected by a natural bay, around which you will find the historic town center full of original, old stone houses with Mediterranean architecture. The buildings are modest in their shapes and sizes and have rustic features. In the village center, there is a parish church dedicated to the Conversion of St. Paul, built in 1666 on the site of the old church - a prayer house. The stylistic features place the church in 17th-century Baroque architecture. In 1741, a bell tower was also built on the left side of the church. The village is incredibly charming, peaceful, and ideal for spending a holiday in harmony with nature. Thanks to its excellent connection to the mainland, Kukljica is also an excellent starting point. It is in close proximity to the historic city of Zadar, as well as national and nature parks. It holds a significant place among the island destinations in the Zadar region. This video was recorded in July 2023. Croatia Walking Tour in 4K - PAG 2023

We are in Croatia, more precisely on the island of Pag and in the town with the same name. It is small but incredibly charming, and every year it is visited by a large number of tourists from around the world. Located in Northern Dalmatia, specifically in the Zadar County, it has just under three thousand inhabitants. It was founded in the second half of the 15th century, mainly due to the developing salt industry here. The center is dominated by the Petra Kresimira IV Square, around which the historic old town is situated. The main monuments within its area include: the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, the Ducal Palace, the Skrivanat Tower, the Kamerlengo Tower, the salt warehouse, the churches of St. Francis and St. George, and the Benedictine monastery of St. Margaret. In addition to the historic part, the town of Pag offers a beautiful city beach and a promenade where you can stroll and admire the yachts and boats moored nearby. The city of Pag is renowned for having the world's best sheep cheese and lace, which was inscribed on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage list in 2009 along with the lace from Hvar and Lepoglava. The cheese has an extraordinary taste, thanks to the sheep that belong to the smallest Mediterranean breed. They mainly feed on herbs and medicinal plants, as the pastures are poor in grass. Additionally, due to the strong wind known as Bura, salt is blown from the water's surface and settles on the meadows, giving the cheese its characteristic salty flavor. It's worth mentioning that the island of Pag, where the town is located, is also known as the 'moon island' due to its desert-like landscape. It has the longest coastline in Croatia and is also the sunniest island in Croatia and the Adriatic. The sun shines here for most days of the year, but unfortunately, luck was not on our side as we encountered clouds during our visit. The video was recorded in July 2023.
