Switzerland Walking Tour in 4k - GANDRIA

A walking tour recorded at the end of August in the incredibly picturesque small village of Gandria , Switzerland , located in the Ticino canton on a steep hillside at the foot of Monte Brè and on the shore of Lake Lugano. This place, unchanged for around 100 years, exudes a pervasive nostalgia, featuring winding alleys, steep staircases, walled courtyards, and arcades. The village has a ban on car traffic, meaning one can only reach its outskirts— all to preserve the historic character of its many buildings. Gandria is both a part of the city of Lugano and an independent village on the northern shore of Lake Lugano, situated right on the Italian border. It has a permanent population of about 275 residents. Despite being located in the Alps, the village is home to Mediterranean vegetation, including palm trees, olive trees, and beautifully blooming oleanders.
