Welcome to Szydlow, a charming town in Poland, where we begin our walking tour through its historic corners. This walk will take you on a journey through centuries, showcasing the remarkable architecture and rich history of one of Poland's best-preserved medieval towns. Often called the "Polish Carcassonne" due to its impressive defensive walls, Szydlow boasts a history dating back to the 12th century, having obtained its town charter in 1329. This small town, with only about 1,000 residents today, is a true gem of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, preserving its unique character and numerous historical monuments. We start our tour at the picturesque All Saints' Church on a small hill, from where we'll head to the mighty Krakow Gate, one of three preserved town gates. We'll pass through it, entering the heart of the medieval town. Next, we'll arrive at the charming Market Square, which has buzzed with life for centuries. Here, we'll admire the Plum Museum, telling the story of Szydlow's famous dried plums, as well as the Plum in Chocolate Manufactory, where you can taste local specialties. In the Market Square, we'll also see the intriguing Cage of Shame, an old well, and the Old Town Hall, a witness to the town's former glory. Continuing our walk, we'll proceed to the Ruins of the Royal Castle, a residence of Polish kings that once dominated the area. Next, we'll reach the Sculptures of Nobel Laureates, commemorating distinguished Poles. We'll also visit the Synagogue, a testament to the town's multicultural history. After a short loop, we'll return to the Market Square, from where we'll head to St. Wladyslaw's Church, another important sacred building. Next to the church, we'll see the historic Bell Tower and the mysterious Vicarage Ruins. We'll conclude our walking tour just outside the town walls, from where a beautiful view of the entire fortified settlement unfolds. Poland Walking Tour in 4k - PINCZOW

Welcome to Pinczow, a historic town in Poland, where we begin our walking tour through its picturesque corners. On this walk, we'll explore the heart of this charming place, showcasing its incredibly interesting architecture and rich history dating back to the 12th century. Located in the Swietokrzyskie Voivodeship, Pinczow has for centuries been an important cultural, economic, and religious center, known as the Pearl of Ponidzie. Today, the town has about 10,000 residents, and though smaller than in ancient times, it has retained its unique character and numerous historical monuments.

We started our tour by the Pinczow Reservoir, an excellent starting point for exploring the town. From there, we headed to the town center, where we admired the charming Market Square – the vibrant heart of the town. Nearby stands the monumental Church of St. John the Apostle and Evangelist, which fascinates with its architecture and history. Close to the church, you'll also find the Regional Museum, offering a captivating insight into the region's heritage. Continuing our stroll, we reached the Old Synagogue, a testament to Pinczow's multicultural history. The final point of our journey was the Church and Monastery of the Franciscan Fathers at the Sanctuary of the Visitation of the Blessed V.Mary – a place of special spiritual and architectural significance, where we concluded our inspiring walk.
