Levoča is an ancient city with a rich history, a true treasure of Slovakia, situated in the eastern region of Spiš at an elevation of 570 meters above sea level. The city features well-preserved rectangular defensive walls, a spacious rectangular square, which includes the Roman Catholic Parish Church of St. James from the 14th century, the Cage of Shame from the 16th century, and the Renaissance Thurzo House. Spisska Bela (SPIŠSKÁ BELÁ) is a charming town in eastern Slovakia, located in the Kezmarok district, in the Presov region. It is situated at the confluence of the Beliansky stream and the Poprad river. It has a population of approximately 6,400 residents. In the historical center of the town, which is a designated heritage area, you can admire many valuable buildings and cultural landmarks. These include the 13th-century Church of St. Anthony the Hermit, the 18th-century Evangelical Church, the Renaissance Town Hall and Bell Tower from the 16th century, the Marian column from 1729, and the Old German-style houses. Spišská Belá is also known for its rich cultural and social life. Every year, traditional events take place here, such as the unique potato market and the extreme mud race called "Jánske blato," which attracts visitors from Slovakia and abroad. The town also organizes City Days, Belske Horse Races, and theatrical performances at the Strážka Manor. It is a small yet captivating town in the Tatras region.
