The beautifully situated mountain town of Szklarska Poręba is the largest winter sports center in the Polish Sudetes and the largest climatic resort in Lower Silesia, known and valued since the mid-19th century. The town is surrounded by two beautiful mountain ranges and divided by the valley of a mountain river. Spending even a moment here, you can immediately feel the exceptional climatic conditions comparable to the virtues of alpine resorts located above 2000 meters above sea level. The main advantage of the town is the long-lasting snow cover, which is present here on average for 110 days a year, making it a true paradise for all winter sports enthusiasts. Szklarska Poręba is not boring even in summer, attracting all mountain hiking and mountain biking enthusiasts. It is also home to one of the most beautiful spots in the Karkonosze Mountains, namely the Kamieńczyk Waterfall. The place was a filming location in the British production of The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian.
