This video was recorded on a beautiful, sunny day in September in the city of Prešov, the third-largest city in Slovakia with a population of about 88,000. The city has a rich history and a dynamic present. Located in the eastern part of Slovakia, it serves as the administrative center of the Prešov region and the Prešov district.
In the historical center of the city, there are many interesting landmarks. The dominant feature is the monumental Roman Catholic Parish of St. Nicholas, dating back to the mid-14th century, with a tall tower that has been restored in the Gothic style. Another important historical site is the Rakoczi Palace, currently serving as a museum. Across from the Neptune Fountain in the park on the square is the Town Hall building—currently the Wine Museum—and in the southern part of the square is the Greek Catholic Cathedral dedicated to St. John the Baptist, dating back to the 18th century. The video was recorded on September 2023.
