Switzerland Walking Tour in 4k - LAUTERBRUNNEN

A walking tour in one of the most beautiful places in Switzerland, and perhaps even in the world. Here is Lauterbrunnen, a village located in the canton of Bern, in the administrative region of Oberland, in the Lauterbrunnental valley, where the Swiss Prealps meet the Bernese Alps. From over 200-meter-high vertical cliffs, as many as 72 waterfalls cascade down into the valley and onto the village of Lauterbrunnen, hidden in their shadow. The valley is also one of the deepest in the Alps. Towering over the landscape are the peaks of the Bernese Alps, the most famous of which are Jungfrau (4,158 m), Mönch (4,107 m), Eiger (3,970 m), Breithorn (3,780 m), and Schilthorn (2,970 m). It is worth mentioning that this valley was likely the inspiration for Rivendell, the legendary valley appearing in The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien. The village of Lauterbrunnen itself is located in the valley at an altitude of approximately 795 meters above sea level and has 2,315 permanent residents. The most recognizable landmark of the village is the Staubbach Waterfall, which is nearly 300 meters high, making it the second-highest waterfall in Switzerland. Lauterbrunnen features spacious camping grounds, a cemetery with a view of the Staubbach Waterfall, a Reformed church dating back to 1832, and a railway station. In this walking tour, we will walk through the entire village, starting from the southern part and ending in the northern part near the train station.
