The valley is also one of the deepest in the Alps. Towering over the landscape are the peaks of the Bernese Alps, the most famous of which are Jungfrau (4,158 m), Mönch (4,107 m), Eiger (3,970 m), Breithorn (3,780 m), and Schilthorn (2,970 m).
